Gary Sheppard – Pro Staff

Gary Sheppard was fortunate to be raised on a farm in northern Jackson Co., WV. He developed a love for the outdoors at an early age, hunting squirrels and rabbits with his father and grandfather. Before he was big enough to carry a gun he followed his father on many deer hunts and killed his first spike buck at age 13. A year later he took a button buck with his bow and so began a lifetime of chasing deer and turkeys. Now at age 54 he still hunts and lives on the family farm. His definition of a successful hunt has changed over the years and just having the opportunity to enjoy all of God’s creation is in itself a successful hunt. He has harvested many deer and turkeys as well as calling in the first turkey for several friends and family members. He has also been fortunate to harvest elk, mule deer, antelope, and black bear in several western states. He and his wife Robin live a quiet, simple country life. They have 3 children and 3 grandchildren, which he can’t wait to introduce to the outdoors.
